Ianthe

Ianthe Tridentarius from Gideon the Ninth.

Ianthe is initially described as plain with stringy hair and nothing interesting. She eventually gains power and grows into it, dressing to impress. She also has a gold skeleton arm.

For the arm, I wanted to use machine embroidery so I digitized the hand, forearm, and upper arm, stitched them out twice, sewed them on my stretch fabric, and made the glove. Click on each picture for more info.

The rest of the outfit felt gold and fancy, something Beyonce would wear. I loved the drama of an open chest and huge sleeve. The cape also offset the sleeve and skeleton arm nicely.
