Keyleth

This costume is inspired by the character Keyleth from the podcast Critical Role. She is a druid who does nature-based magic. After completing a great challenge to test her skill, she is given a large mantle of leaves to celebrate her achievement. Click on each picture for more info.

I had access to an embroidery machine and wanted to create a mantle of embroidered leaves. In total, there are 1162 leaves on the cape.
All embroidery files were digitized and stitched out by me, some leaves even have my cosplay name on them, "Chidori Sour."

 

Embroidered flowers and butterflies are featured in the costume as well on the back piece and the headpiece. The cape is a circle cape to have some really nice movement, it ended up being between 1/3 and 1/4 circle.
