Wedding Dress
In 2020 I got engaged and had to have a small COVID safe wedding. Since it was going to be so small, I decided to wear an outfit that would fit right in at the Renaissance Faire. I wanted some type of corset, poofy sleeves, and a skirt that would spin. Click on each image for more info.

Orange is my husband's favorite color and I found this lovely orange silk with painted flowers that was perfect. The flowers were quite spaced out so I carefully placed the pattern pieces to feature the flowers. It needed more structure so I used a duck canvas and some plastic boning.

The blouse and skirts are a linen base with a two-tone chiffon over them to add extra flow. The skirts are separate so they can be more versatile for future outfits.

I also made my partner a bowtie with the same silk and my dog a bowtie from cotton.
